The Big Thompson River is full of trout waiting to be caught! In the privacy of your own stretch of the river, right in front of the Bear Paw - fly-fish to your hearts content! We will get you "hooked" up with KIRK'S FLY SHOP where a Guide will come to the Bear Paw Cabin and teach you the art of FLY-FISHING right in front of the cabin! ACTIVITIES IN THE AREA: One mile from the cabin you will find horse-back riding, bumper boats, go-karts, mini-golf, a huge "animal ARK" and a NEW first-class rock climbing gym. Explore the 300 shops of Estes and check out the history and making of the town of Estes Park at the Estes Museum. There is a 9-hole and 18-hole golf course about two miles from the cabin. Trout fishing is at its best in the stretch of private water right in front of the Bear Paw. Miles of well-marked hiking trails can be found for your pleasure in and out of the RMNP.
